MENTALRADIO first appeared to the world in 2011, broadcasting a twice weekly, live three hour nationally syndicated radio show from an abandoned airplane hanger in rural Prague, Czechoslovakia. In this showcase you’ll hear dizzying moments of the “Vertical Pandemonium Audio Theater” featuring Shadoe Stevens and the late Sam “Dr. Frees” Frees. This is an assault of music, promos, sketches and moments like “betting on Rat Killing Dogs in Victorian England,” Daphne Van Horne’s “Translations for the Urban Impaired,” characters like Guy Goode, Dixon Ticonderoga, why we don’t have to worry about Zombies in an Apocalypse, and interview with man who was visited by aliens and grew two inches overnight. This 26 minute highlight was used as a demo and the show had a 30 minute version in 2012 on SiriusXM. It is the pursuit of radical optimism and genetically altered humor.
