New Directions for Women hosts ‘Be brave’ child safety training

Every parents teaches their children about stranger danger, and hopes that the child will remember if they are ever in a bad situation.

Now, New Directions for Women and the Joyful Child Foundation are hosting a luncheon and training session to teach children even more skills for reacting to dangerous situation.

The “Be Brave” Workshop will teach children ages five to 13 to recognize when they need help, and how to physically resist abduction. The free ninety-minute seminar will take place on Saturday, Jan. 24 at 12 p.m. at the New Directions for Women outpatient offices in Costa Mesa, Calif.
