Hazelden, a national nonprofit addiction treatment provider, is set to open expanded services after joining forces with HealthWorks Northwest, a multidisciplinary medical practice in Beaverton, Ore..

An Open House and ribbon cutting event are scheduled at the new Hazelden Beaverton facility on March 15 from 3 to 6 p.m.  The facility is located at 1500 NW Bethany Blvd., Suite 240 in Beaverton.

Mark Mishek, president and CEO of Hazelden in Minnesota, will speak, along with Dr. Andy Mendenhall and Dr. Paul Conti of Hazelden in Beaverton.

“We are pleased to combine our expertise and talents,” said Mishek. “Together, we are expanding the reach of our services, broadening our knowledge of evidence-based best practices, especially in addressing the national epidemic of opioid addiction, and bringing hope, health and healing to more people.”

“We are extremely excited about this combination and know there will be great benefit to patients of both organizations and to the community as a whole,” said Conti and  Mendenhall, founding partners of HealthWorks Northwest and the newest members of the Hazelden team.

HealthWorks Northwest provides outpatient addiction treatment, Medication Assisted Treatment and Relapse Prevention, pain management and psychiatric care for co-occurring conditions.  Hazelden Beaverton will offer medically supervised outpatient opioid and alcohol detoxification, intensive outpatient services, family services and expanded recovery management services.

Hazelden also operates a residential addiction treatment center in Springbrook, Ore, with a specialty track in health care professionals, trauma and addiction, and is now offering a full continuum of outpatient services in the Portland market.

Hazelden, a national nonprofit organization founded in 1949, helps people reclaim their lives from the disease of addiction.
