Colorado Pot Use Sky High

Marijuana usage in Colorado – where the drug has been legalized for recreational use – is higher than estimates predicted, according to a study by the Colorado Department of Revenue’s Marijuana Enforcement Division.

While only 9 percent of the state’s populations uses the drug, or those users nearly 22 percent report daily use, compared to 17 percent of pot users nationally that smoke daily.

The state is also attracting drug tourists, with 44 percent of retail pot sales coming from out-of-state visitors.
