Hazelden welcomes White House Drug Czar R. Gil Kerlikowski for a tour of Tribeca Twelve, the first collegiate sober housing facility offered in New York City .
Accompanying Kerlisowski on the tour at 9 a.m., Friday, March 15, will be Executive Director of Hazelden New York Dr. Barbara Kistenmacher. At Hazelden, Kistenmacher oversees two American Society of Addiction Medicine levels of outpatient care and a collegiate recovery residence for young adults with substance use and other co-occurring disorders,
Located at 283 West Broadway, Hazelden’s Tribeca Twelve offers alcohol- and drug-free housing to college students in recovery. It is an independent living environment with fully integrated support services, access to many recreational activities and special events. The residence is ideal for young adults attending college or planning to return to college who are looking for a welcoming place to live, develop healthy friendships, and achieve success.
Hazelden's Tribeca Twelve has been open for more than one year and draws students from nearby colleges and universities such as Fordham, Princeton, and New York University.
