The Betty Ford Center is coming to L.A., opening an outpatient clinic in West Los Angeles next month.
The opening is part of the organization’s goal of reaching more people, in conjunction with its 2013 merger with the Hazelden Foundation.
“We want to extend the reach of the Betty Ford brand and the quality of care that is world-famous in the desert and make it available for people in what we call the Southwest region,” said Jim Steinhagen, vice president of the Betty Ford Center. “We know not everybody needs residential treatment that needs treatment so we’ve made an outpatient investment in bringing treatment to people when they need it, where they need it at the level of care they need it at.”
The West L.A. location, at 10-700 Santa Monica Blvd., will hold an open house on Jan. 28, and will begin treating patients on Feb. 2.
