Drinking alcohol is ingrained into modern society. We have happy hours, ladies’ nights, pub crawls, and a culture that doesn’t bat an eye to getting ‘turnt’ or wasted on a Friday night. Celebrities have it even worse; industry parties are notorious for having copious amounts of drugs and alcohol.

It’s unusual for someone to defy the norm, so it makes headlines whenever a celebrity announces their sobriety. Scroll down for a list of the actors, singers, and other sober celebrities who don’t drink.

19 Famous Personalities That Are Sober

19. Daniel Radcliffe

Radcliffe went from nobody to household name practically overnight when he was just 11 years old. That kind of pressure early on drove him to abuse alcohol. Thankfully he officially quit drinking in 2012.

18. Bradley Cooper

Cooper’s great at playing characters with substance abuse and mental health issues, partly because he can draw from personal experience. He quit drinking and doing drugs when he was 29 years old, and his career really took off shortly after that.

17. Dax Shepard

Shepard once admitted that “cocaine and Jack Daniels” were his faves before becoming sober. As of 2019, he’s been drug and alcohol-free for 15 years, although he’s totally cool with his wife Kristen Bell smoking a joint every once in a while.

16. Charlie Sheen

For a time, Sheen was one of Hollywood’s most famous alcoholics. His alcohol abuse actually led to him getting fired from Two and a Half Men. He stopped drinking and doing drugs after realising how his addiction was impacting his ability to be a good father to his kids.

14. Zac Efron

Efron turned to cocaine and alcohol to handle the intense stress and scrutiny of celebrity life. After going to rehab in 2013, the former teen heartthrob got his life (and career) together.
