The Partnership at Drugfree.org has launched a new website, PACT360.org, which helps connect community members and law enforcement officials to empower and educate parents and teens on substance abuse.
PACT360 contains a program of research-based, multimedia community education presentations. The presentations are designed to mobilize communities and empower and educate parents and teens about the dangers of drugs and alcohol in today’s ever-changing substance abuse landscape. It is broken into five key programs: Meth360®, Parents360, Youth360, Latino360 and Padres360.
Each section is designed to be delivered by local partners, law enforcement, prevention and treatment professionals and can be customized to reflect the needs and issues of each community.
According to the website, those who use PACT360 can learn more about the people in their neighborhood and help kids stay healthy and make safe decisions. While every community is different, on PACT360 one can find some examples of how community police officers, school nurses, coaches, teachers and others work to reduce and respond to substance abuse issues in specific neighborhoods.
