A simple glass of milk can help with relentless anxiety. If you’re riddled with anxiety before bedtime, pour a glass of warm milk. Bernard Vittone, MD, a psychiatrist and founder of The National Center for the Treatment of Phobias, Anxiety, and Depression tells Prevention that “the old wives’ tale of having warm milk really does help.” This is because milk contains the amino acid tryptophan, which can bring on relaxation.
Ginger can help you heal an upset stomach. It helps relieve almost all gastrointestinal issues. It’s suggested to make some tea, steep a tablespoon of ground fresh ginger in it for 10 minutes, then strain and drink.
Urinary tract infection
This one may surprise you. Baking soda can help you with urinary tract infections. It makes the bladder more alkaline, which can prevent bacteria from multiplying. It’s suggested to drink a solution made with one-fourth teaspoon of baking soda mixed in 8 ounces of water at the first sign of symptoms. But you should still see a doctor to access the situation.
Cuts and scrapes
Try some sweet, sticky honey on your wounds. No, seriously. The sweet syrup contains three wound-healing components: sugar for absorbing moisture halting bacteria’s survival, hydrogen peroxide to disinfect and the nectar-based compound propolis to kill bacteria.
