Justin Timberlake may already have his next acting gig lined up. If the gig comes to fruition, Timberlake will be playing the part of an addict trying to come out the other side to recovery.
Variety reports that the star is in talks to join Good Universe's romantic dramedy “The Last Drop.”
If the deal goes through, Timberlake would play a charming alcoholic who works as a restaurant critic for New York Magazine. When he falls for a young woman, he realizes he must overcome his self-destructive addiction in order to have a real chance with her.
The screenplay was featured on the 2011 Black List, the annual list of the most popular unproduced projects in Hollywood.
According to reports, Peter Sollett is slated to direct the piece. Sollett also worked with the Good Universe team on 2008’s Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist.
