It's not just lenders who don't want to hang out with people who have a lot of debt: It's also potential romantic partners.

In a nationally representative poll of 1,000 U.S. adults commissioned by CreditCards.com, 70 percent of women would dump a guy who owes a boatload of cash to lenders, cannot pay routine bills, or has lied about his tight financial position.
Men have lower financial expectations, it seems. A total of 37 percent of them expressed the same sentiment as women.
Money, of course, has been determined by mountains of data to be the top cause of marital stress and divorce.
