The tell-all memoir will enlighten readers about the musician’s recovery, sobriety and return to the stage. This change “he credits to his renewed faith in God.”

“The book describes my childhood, my internal battle with drugs and depression and how I lost control of my life,” said Stapp in a statement announcing the memoir. “My memoir reveals never before released details about my life and the challenges I've faced before coming to grips and finding sobriety.”

Stapp wrote the book with David Ritz, a Rolling Stone writer, and it is scheduled to be released in October 2012.
