Those taking part will have to remember to refresh their browser throughout the chat to view all the questions and answers.
Herren struggled with addiction through his basketball career and while he once played for the Boston Celtics, he lost his NBA career due to his substance abuse. Now in recovery since 2008, the speaker travels the country talking to groups of young people about his experiences.
“In the past year I’ve been privileged to speak in front of thousands of teenagers who have related to my story and opened up about the substance abuse issues they struggle with,” Herren says on The Partnership at Drugfree.org. “I look forward to connecting with parents and caregivers through The Partnership at Drugfree.org, so we can all work together to assist those in need take the first steps toward recovery and a life of sobriety.”
